Essex Porch (Current Project 9/26)

A single pitch white oak porch for a beautiful century home on Lake Champlain. We carefully removed part of the existing granite slab patio to repair the damaged slab underneath, with a targeted reinforcement at the point-loaded post locations. Mortise and tenon joinery at the post and beam connections and an under squnited stop splayed scarf joint add strength and character. Standing seam roof to come.
